This page was created with you in mind. We recently had an open house at South Plantation and some of the parents were interested in resources for themselves on what they could use to increase their skills using Free resources. So here it is.

Vocabulary
- HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) – is a markup language for the web that defines the structure of web pages. HTML (text) Editor – a program for editing HTML.
- Tag – a set of characters constituting a formatted command for a web page. Tags provide the directions or recipes for the visual content that one sees on the web. Tags act like containers. They tell you something about the information that lies between their opening and closing tags. Opening tags are composed of Left angle bracket, a character, and a right angle bracket. Closing tag – consist of a left angle bracket, forward slash, character, and right angle bracket. Element – is defined by a start tag, some content, and an end tag.
